Halo 3 shots - FUCK.
I thought the same thing. It looks like like halo or halo 2 up rezz screenies. Right off the bat the sticks are for movement in a FPS on 360. In a PC FPS you have about 8 or 9 weapons. Then lets get into the team speak macros and vent activation. Cant forget that reload button and we need walk and crouch buttons. Now thats just standard setup. Then you got into game specific lay outs, well we dont have too cause we are already over the limit.
I love my new 360. I love gears of war and am already moving pretty ok in it. But there is no way, to me at least, that any FPS can be played better on a console then a PC. The peripherals just dont work. Now for a racing game nothing beats a console. I hate playing them on a PC, infact i got a x box 360 controller last year when NFS came out.
I guess its like mac and PC, each just has a different use and specialization .

9 weapons. next and prev weapon still works for me in q3 on pc, and most games use the 8 directions on the dpad as seperate buttons as well. so thats 18 buttons.
team speak? jesus. you got a headset, remember
i get what youre saying, and like i said, q3 wont work on a console, even though fast fps' were ported succesfully before.
but at least think about decent arguments prior to posting

and gamyplay.. from the discussion i've readed yet about the beta it plays like halo on xbox.. so no.. nothing new gamplay wise.
i wonder how much time they actualy invested into the single player campaign, if i recall right halo2 sp was worser than halo1, and they pushed the mp alot farther than sp.
i hope thats not the case on part3 ... at the end.. one can only hope that this is not the final gfx rather than early maps thrown in for the beta.. if this represents the gfx quality of the game more than a few people will be dissapointed after GoW.

No, but usually you can tell how good the game will be by its predecessors. Halo and Halo 2 kicked ass and I loved playing both of them. Folks are reporting problems downloading the Halo 3 Beta via Crackdown this morning. We have alerted the appropriate Live authorities and they are taking care of the problem as we speak. More news as it comes in.
And yeah, check the forums, its FULL of people crying. "The end of Bungie/M$" "Fuck you guys!" "I want my money back!" etc etc
Seems the only ones that are hit with the delay are those with Crackdown. Yet I bought Crackdown for, well, Crackdown. Not the Halo 3 Beta, that was just a nice extra. But some of those people insist crackdown is shite and they wasted money because they only bought it for Halo 3, and they want the money back... lol...
