It just pains me to see that humans are still the self-centered morons they've always been. Whether it's believing a God created the universe just for us or whether it's believing that advanced civilizations - that could easily introduce themselves regardless of censorship attempts from any government on the planet - are somehow interested in us because...well...we must be special or summat.

I laughed out loud during Star Nerd when Q admitted that he was afraid of "humanity's potential" - and this is an omnipotent being saying this. And it's another example of this moronic "center of the universe" mentality that prevails to this day.

I have no doubt that there's a good chance that we are known by alien civilizations (if they're close enough) and perhaps we were visited in the past (who knows?) but I have serious doubts that this planet's trailer parks have somehow been used as an inter-universal testing lab for every advanced civilization there is.

I have no explanation for what people are seeing. I just don't believe that aliens are playing peekaboo with us.
