Do you use any special stuff for those buttons? XP and vista has support for at least Mouse3 and Mouse4, dunno if there is a Mouse5 and Mouse6?

this makes me hopeful:
I find that on my dev system here (2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 7800GT, 2gig ram) I can do 90fps pretty constantly, so I have mine set to 90. You'll need to experiment a bit to find a level of this that doesn't fluctuate too much for your liking.
I've got the same rig, except with an AMD X2 3800.
And lol at some of the idiots on there replying to the devs. Those guys have a lot of patience.

				It's in your profile now?
Aw hell. It's a good thing since it's automatically kept when the game directory is removed/uninstalled. But I always liked that nice, simple, compact feeling of every single file necessary for a Quake game being in one folder structure.

				BTW: r_megadrawmethod 0 (default 3)
Kills a few frames, but looks better.
Mike wrote:FYI, these are various rendering methods I played with. Only 0 and 3 are valid the other two are incomplete tests and will be removed for the end product.
0 is the high quality method, 3 the faster both will be exposed within the advanced menu.

Why not a public beta the way it is now its just gonna be leaked to p2p

you can download it but you still need a key to play online

Because they don't have the resources to supply a few thousand servers for everyone to play on?
Who cares if it gets "leaked" to p2p? It's already on bittorrent everywhere. It doesn't matter because you have to have a key to connect.

Also, Fileplanet will be giving kickbacks for having it through their systems, so they'll be making money from this beta test, or at least they'll be able to cover the expense of running servers during the beta.
