What's the point of playing Q3 with a controller for 1200 MS points (mark my words, it will be 1200) when you can play it on the PC with mouse/keyboard for free on Quake Live?
Re: HELLO QUAKE FOR XBOX LIVE!!! :D
^ that too.

I've really been looking for a fast paced shooter on the XBOX for a long time now, Quake III will do it. Let it come to XBOX, does anyone yet know a release date for it?

Bit daft its not even in 1080p, but 720p... You would think with how old it is, the 360 could handle it?

Re: HELLO QUAKE FOR XBOX LIVE!!! :D
Fact is that resolution is often overrated. Most people don't even see the difference between 720p and 1080p. And even if you do, many current day games are rendered at a lower resolution (below 720p) but are postprocessed in such a way that the (upscaled) image quality is higher than when the game's rendered at a native HD resolution without the post processing. If you don't believe this, keep an eye on Digital Foundry, which is Eurogamer's tech analysis blog. They've done quite a few articles on games that work this way, including comparisons.
So the thing is, rendering games at sub-HD resolutions makes it easier to reach 60fps and doing the right postprocessing is often cheaper in cpu power than rendering the entire scene at a higher resolution. The result is in a lot of cases better as well.
Now I'm not saying that this is the case with Quake 3, but we don't know what kind of changes they've made to the game.
