I seriously doubt it. Segovia had good classical technique, but (if you actually play) that's a horribly restrictive approach to the instrument. Props to him for backing Villa-Lobos, though.riddla wrote:p.s.

Simply everything, riddla - It is impossible to compare a Joe Pass to Paul Gilbert, simply because both play totally differently.
I played with a Jazz-band live once and it was a totally different experience, compared to my "usual" Rock- and Blues-Bands. It's bullshit to say "Yeh, Joe Pass knows more chords than Jimi Hendrix, so he is a better guitarist!"
