i was right next to the guy... and moved around frequently

I planted all my claymores near the bad guys' entry points, that seemed to work well at first, but there's more of them than I have mines.

was in a random thread on gamefaqs. the guy said he placed the c4 randomly where guys normally seem to be once your transport arrives. the one that he placed on the back path was because the first time he tried this a guy came back that way...i never had that problem.

I just sat on the hill and sniped everybody.

I'm going to probably buy this for the PC also. Since it's more fun playing it on the PC.
Maybe pick up some new computer parts as well.

I stayed near the tree between the guy and the ferris wheel (if you are referring to the end of the mission when all hell breaks loose as you wait for the chopper.)

Pick off guys that are dropping down the rope from the chopper...fun to watch them drop.

How the hell are people level 55 already?

I haven't had this much fun with a game since Metal Gear Solid 1.

This is by far my favorite game of 2007.

Is anyone else having connectivity issues when trying to join MP matches on their 360?

not me...see i didn't pay for the game so i haven't played online...jellus?...

You have no idea what you are missing. The COD4 online multiplayer is the best thing that happened to FPS games in a while.
I certainly wont be buying Crysis, because of the shear awesome of COD4.

The level of details in the multiplayer maps is insane, and they load faster than I can blink,
well actually it takes no more than 18 seconds to load up a map change in multiplayer on my PC.

Now, has anyone been able to figure out the exact number and names of all the ranks?
Wikipedia says 56 ranks, but it includes no names or XP required.

uh...that's the ranking list for the charlieoscardelta website and doesn't relate to the games exp system at all.

Well I am at the captain rank, and so far it's been correct. Except for the fact that each rank has 2 levels, before you move on to the next one. I love this game, the kill cam is an amazing feature. You get to see how you where shot, from the other guys POV.

It's like Counter-Strike 2.0 and you spawn instantly.

i may buy it for the mp...how much worse is it than tf2?...

when i watch the killcam all i can say is 'how fucking lucky can you get'
