It only gets slower, in a way. Once you get multiple islands going it gets a bit more entertaining because you have to keep all your people happy/working etc. The more advanced your cities get the longer things are going to take.
Researching right now is taking me a few weeks to complete and expanding building is getting into the 24 hour mark...
This isn't a game you sit down and play and are constantly doing something, it's more click, spend some materials, come back a few hours later and check back up on it. Perfect game for work

Once you are in your Embassy click at the bottom on the search button. The group is called Q3W. Once you are in go back to the Embassy and click the icon on the far right to talk to one of the homos here.
Only way I know to talk to the others is to click on their city and go from there... I haven't talked to anyone outside the clan so, there might be a diff way.
