1. Oswald was a terrible shot - Untrue, he shot 218 out of 250 right before he left the Corps, making him a pretty fucking good shot.
2. Three shots in that amount of time was impossible and no one could duplicate it. - Also untrue, not only was it repeated by one Spec. Miller of the US Army, he actually bettered Oswald's time.

I still don't buy the headshot coming from behind, though.
I'm in agreement with you.

I've been to the building, too.

But there is too much medical evidence for a shot from the front.

Now the last reading I did on this was years ago, and then I could find no information on what happened to JFK's brain. Has anyone since?

kf quit trying to get cybar you fat slut.

I think Oswald did it but was manipulated into doing it and he got alot of help in accomplishing what he wanted to do. Jack Ruby killed him to keep him quiet and because he was told to kill him. His mob ties aren't any secret.

I recently read an article that was talking about the reasons why a head might move the way it did when Kennedy was shot (clearly shown in the film). It's funny...the article had nothing to do with nor did it hint anything towards the JFK assassination...but when I was reading it the assassination immediately came to mind.

When JFK was shot in the head, it knocked part of the back of his skull off towards the trunk of the car. I read that that is what Jackie is doing when you see her dive towards the back of the car--trying to retrieve the part of his skull that was blown back. If the shot came from the back of his head, how would that large of a piece been blown straight back? At the very least, wouldn't it have had flown off at an angle to his head?

I believe there was a conspiracy to have him killed. And his brother.

I don't know who killed him. I don't know why the killed him. But I do know this, they killed him. So that makes that person (or persons) a winner. You losers can sit around decades later whining about who and why, but the winners have long since gone home and fucked the prom queen.

Ok, the reason why I asked this question was to conduct sort of an informal poll to determine not just what people think about Oswald's guilt and possible conspiracies, but more importantly WHY you think what you do. I started reading Vincent Bugliosi's Reclaiming History: The Assassination Of President John F. Kennedy and I have to say that when I was reading the notes on the dust jacket before buying it, I was surprised to find that Bugliosi is convinced that Oswald did kill Kennedy and moreover, he acted alone.
Now, I've always felt that there was something off about JFK's murder and I've thought Bugliosi was a fantastic author since I read his book on the Simpson trial. For those of you that don't know who he is, he prosecuted Charles Manson as the LA County DA and was asked to be lead prosecutor in the O.J. trial, which he of course turned down. His book on O.J. was great, extremely thorough and ridiculously well researched and documented. It was for this reason that I decided to buy the book and try to read it with an open mind. As I started reading I realized that the majority of my opinions on the assassination were based on hearsay, as I suspect (as does the author) that most people's views are. I haven't read the Warren Commission's work(it's 26 fucking volumes), nor have I read Warren Report (summary), but I have seen JFK and read articles, websites, etc. This is why I want to know WHY people think as they do and WHERE they got the info.
I still think that there's something goofy about the assassination, but so far Bugliosi's making a convincing case. He states that he's going to address all the major conspiracy theories, and so far he's cited references for every single thing he said to be factual about the case. He's already debunked three misconceptions that I had about the case (Oswald's shooting ability, the difficulty/repeating of the shots, and the physical tests that proved Oswald fired a gun that day), but I'm witholding judgment until I finish the book. I'm curious to find out about the supposedly pristine bullet that was found on Kennedy's stretcher, the autopsy, the grassy knoll, etc.
No matter what you think about who killed JFK, buy this book. It's over 1,600 pages, but what the fuck else are you nerds going to do this summer?

Sounds like a good read. I always dismissed the conspiracies. Just makes more sense to me if you leave all that aside. Shit gets too messy.

I'll read the book, but do you think those things you mentioned - "supposedly pristine bullet that was found on Kennedy's stretcher, the autopsy, the grassy knoll, etc." - will be explained reasonably? If so, then the book will be a bit more than interesting.

Well the reasons I believe what I believe are many and researched since I was in my teens. I couldn't possibly link everything I've seen and read.

Regarding Oswald...he was a moron suffering from small-man syndrome and clearly wasn't happy with the state of things after his military duty and his long desire to move to Mutharrra Rrrrussia.. He was indeed a sharpshooter and you know the chances of those guys missing is low...even several shots with a moving target.

The thing amongst the whole mess that pretty much convinces me of a conspiracy is Jack Ruby. He was upset about Kennedy and avenged him....yeah...bullshit.

Look up Jack Ruby and dig behind what motivated the man, who he was connected to, the fact he wanted to speak to the Warren Commission, his comments about the coming evil government, his fear for his fambly, etc.... there's a shitload of "reasonable doubt" about the lone gunman theory and it all hinges on Ruby.....at least for me.

I don't know, but I know Bugliosi is extremely meticulous in his research.
