My home has been robbed three times. Usually they have the decency of doing this WHEN NOBODY IS HOME. That way they can get your guns...

I work in bear country and I have a shotgun that I carry--a nickel plated Fabarms SDASS Trainer. I put a Knoxx recoil reducing stock on it, which can adjust to whomever has to carry it, and called it a day. I hope to never have to shoot it in the field.

Who here has actually been robbed while still in their home at either knife or gunpoint? And if so, did you own a gun at the time and/or do you own one now? Regardless, it's got to be unnerving to know someone has been in your house, a place you should be able to consider safe, without your knowledge or consent...

Now, funny enough, the coppers (cops) said they had come across this sort of thinking before. Obviously they deal with this sort of shit all the time. They commented, build one if you like but chances are you'll trap (even kill) yourself or some poor innocent bastard in the wrong place at the wrong time

PS Mantraps may only work in isolated areas were you can get rid of and completely destroy any evidence.

I've had two experiences where I could have used violent defense in my home because of intruders. But I resolved it without having to use a firearm. But if needs be, its good to know I've got the backup ready to go. If you're smart about it, there's no reason not to have one...
