Same. I don't want to play it again. I might just kill myself 15 times or something to get it over with now (with the bonus of being skill matched with new players who will get crushed)

Is it just me, or does Crash now adapt to your play level dynamically? I started out smacking her around, but as I got closer to the fraglimit/timelimit she seemed to get a bit more difficult.

Bollocks. I went to bed, and Crash was waiting patiently to be anally raped. Today, I had to queue again, but now the site is down.

Yeah, same happened to me. Is expert harder than Q3 nightmare or do I just suck?
I find it much easier in Q3, like a walk in the park. But that might just be because of familiar maps and having my enemy model keel in bright green.

You just suck. I beat Crash 15-2 on Expert.

QuakeLive? QueueLive.

My spot was 27,000 something and I just closed the window. If their estimate about letting in 500 people a minute is correct, that would mean 54 minutes of wait time, fuck that shit.

I can beat her alright, I'm just disappointed I haven't beaten her 15-0 on expert yet. In fact, I was beating her 11-0 yesterday when I was interrupted by a phone call. By the time I resumed the game I'd lost my flow, her anal cavity was healed, and I started getting fragged.

Btw, Queue Live.

Our CDN (Content Delivery Network) is having a problem, we are forced to push the site offline until this is resolved

Oh and according to some poster at ESR, "id revealed to QuakeUnity that Kevin 'arQon' Blenkinsopp, author of the popular mod Challenge ProMode Arena (CPMA), has been hired as a contractor on QuakeLive."

Oh no! QuakeLive will go to shits. arQon has the biggest asshole on this planet. In fact, the entire earth could fit up his colon.

presumably he's there purely to implement cpma mode, rather than lend his pr disaster of a personality to the project.

It's not all bad. He purportedly added in the CPMA netcode and worked on something Clan Arena-ish (but not full-blown CPMA physics and gameplay).

So id Software release an updated, free version of the most played online multiplayer of all time, and they don't expect this many players...?

I mean, 30,000 people have to drop out before one guy gets a place? Did they really not see this many people wanting to get in on the action? There will be some kind of server upgrade soon, but by then, all these people just trying it will of filtered out, so it may be a waste...

it's a fucked u situation. Atleast, if they underestimated the amount of interested gamers that means that their requirements in number of players in order for them to make a buck from the adds is more than met, which means that they will have enough following for this thing to stay alive...

but a que of 44,000 people? so how many people are there really? How many players can their system as of now actually handle?

Is it possible they underestimated their system capabilities instead of the number of interested players?

I just waited for almost 2 hours in the queue, but I was still 6000th in line so I quit. I really hope they'll get their act together quickly.

Probably the reverse. Carmack hinted in a number of interviews that he wasn't all that sure about the viability of the business case behind QL.

Well they better get their shit together. Cause this ain't going to last very long if people can't just hop right in and start playing instantly. Hell, I'll barely wait for matchmaking with a new game, let alone a decade old game...
