Hehehe I remember the same thing but only on the flat (Drag race?) level. The other levels had enough jumps and quirks to make it difficult to finish tied.

It really was an underrated game though.

As mentioned, FF7, even if the combat system is broken and unfinished and the story doesn't make any damn sense (no Phoenix Downs on Aeris? No Softs on Seto?) I'm replaying the game right now and am regretting it. I should have just let it be and kept the good memories I had of it.

Hard topic. Remakes usually are nowhere near as good asthe original in some way, or likely can't be as good. I want a final fantasy 7 remake just as much as the next guy but we all know they will mess with it. They already mentioned if they did remake it they would ditch the materia and change the way you level up, and that's just not ffvii to me.

A few have been REALLY good, like Resident Evil. I still hope capcom one day release that in 1080p.

But yeah if fuck ups and changes were a none issue I would have to say:

ocorina of time (being remade for 3ds now!)
final fantasy 7
metal gear solid (gcn port was fantastic)
quake 2 (quake 4 wasn't even close)
duke nukem 3d
goldeneye 64 (which has been done on wii in a way but with craig WTF)

I dunno there's loads of ideas but we l know they would fuck it up...

Seto is petrified. What's wrong with an Esuna or Soft? They just leave him there as a statue and continue on their way?


The materia system is unfinished. They never added the "aero" materia for wind spells. The only way to get "wind magic" is to steal an item from a bird. Granted, there's only one boss where wind magic matters (and you don't even have your materia when fighting him), it still nags at me.

The plus side of replaying is that I actually understand what's being said so I have a better grasp of the story behind it.
