With "full war" I wasn't talking about the amount of effort it would take to strike down Libya's fighting force. I meant going to full war in the political sense.

I wonder why you keep clinging to the idea that the Libyan people should be capable of more than they are now? If you have no weapons to speak of, it's impossible to defend yourself against a fully equipped army. 80's hardware or not.

Don't think the Arab League has the clout (or means) to do it by itself.
With all this globalization where *we* all have to agree before action is taken, dontchaknow.

And I don't know how the "rebels" communicate, but I can't see how they'd object to stop jets bombing their arses.
I know "no ground troops" was their wish, but levelling the playing field sure seems welcome.
