Interesting, but I'll be more excited when I see the PC release date.

Mouse/keyboard > gamepad when you're trying to aim at stuff, so for all the on-foot sections. Driving would probably be OK on either.
RDR was a massive pain to play with a gamepad.

I do, but I prefer playing the game in 1080p with a mouse and keyboard, user-made mods, and no loading screens.

GTA 4 was released a year later on PC and it had more bugs than Madonna's crotch. Solution: pirate the game for a year, then buy it on Steam for $5

I don't even know how you can compare something like that. Wouldn't it also depend on how fast your character could walk across it? I dunno, I just don't think it's that easy to compare...

No, or a ps3.
And before anyone mentions "lol piracy", almost all my games come through steam.
edit: too late

yeap.
I'm not getting too excited about GTAV yet after someone mentioned RDR... I remember at the time it was coming out, I had just finished the Call of Juarez games and had picked up a cheapo copy of "Gun" so I was VERY up for a new western themed jaunt

Had a shot of it on a friend's xbox, but fuck those controls.

You're right in that the player's movement speed in the game dictates the metrics and sizes of gameplay spaces, so a "true comparison" in terms of gameplay density is hard to compare.
However, since most large-terrain games have fast travel features, the size doesn't always translate to "epic".

				Size in pixels!

Seriously, though, what's the size of Gran Turismo's world? On the PSP version even you have the longest racecourse in the world, which is massive. I bet they didn't measure GT for their comparisons.

				Also how big is

's world if you include all the custom maps... that you ever played

Or all the ones you played multiplayer for the size of the multiplayer world of

? (Since it's not easy to get people playing custom maps.)
And I want cubic volume, while we're at it, cause Q3 has a lot of vertical play

not as, probably. at least not as a launchtitle. simply because they'd have no idea how to work the hardware.
which is the reason they stated for not going nextgen; they can squeeze a lot more out of the current gen hardware because all it's tricks and hacks has been exposed the during the last 7 years.
