Jesus this eraser dude is a complete moron...
lol they're actually gonna call it the XBox720? What a bunch of retards. Not only are they completely uncreative in their naming conventions (hey man, it's like...double the 360 in every way) but naming it the "720" will do nothing to reinforce consumers that it's a true HD device, since the name practically screams "lowest HD res cause our box is shit".brisk wrote:http://www.computerandvideogames.com/333308/xbox-720-to-use-radeon-6000-card-six-times-360-power-report/
Probably another bullshit rumour, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Don't expect to see another SNES-PS1 style leap in performance again. PC has and always will be the best performing games machine. It's just a shame we rarely see any games that take advantage of it anymore.
Oh well, my GTX 580 renders Windows 7 really well. Well worth the money!
That's what I railed against...the same old stupid discussion never goes away because the same old stupid people never go away.Eraser wrote:My point was that when the next generation of consoles will arrive, the whole discussion will slowly go back to claims of PC gaming being dead, until that generation is 5, 6 or 7 years old and the PC will again have a significant performance advantage. So people claiming that this is dead or that is dead will probably go from left to right in the rhythm of the life cycles of consoles.
the name xbox360 was probably chosen because they had to compete with playstation 3... and PS3 sounds like 1 version better than xbox 2 to the morons out there. So they had to choose a retarded name that hinted on the all important number 3 to appease the retards.MKJ wrote:pretty sure theyre not gonna call it the 720.
before the 360s name was revealed it was simply the "xbox2".
never understood the 360 name tbh. it sounds like they tried to imply some wild departure of their previous system (a 180 if you will) and were doing it wrong.
cmon dude. think back to the earlier days of memes.Mat Linnett wrote:...

a 360 degree turn would end up with you turning full circle and facing it again.
that's just a rumor for now, don't get your hopes up yet, give it a year till it's announced.MKJ wrote:pretty sure theyre not gonna call it the 720.
