BF3 did it right. Design your game for the highest spec available (PC) and then scale it for the less-powerful hardware. Pretty obvious when you think about it.

Probably another bullshit rumour, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Don't expect to see another SNES-PS1 style leap in performance again. PC has and always will be the best performing games machine. It's just a shame we rarely see any games that take advantage of it anymore.
Oh well, my GTX 580 renders Windows 7 really well. Well worth the money!

before the 360s name was revealed it was simply the "xbox2".
never understood the 360 name tbh. it sounds like they tried to imply some wild departure of their previous system (a 180 if you will) and were doing it wrong.

the name xbox360 was probably chosen because they had to compete with playstation 3... and PS3 sounds like 1 version better than xbox 2 to the morons out there.
