Trust me, I'm well aware of the acoustics. The speakers are pointed this way because that's how I can still hear them well when I'm sitting at the desk. They're actually pointing 2.5 ft behind me. I move back for serious listening, so that it creates an equilateral triangle (almost, anyway). My room's shape is retarded, so I'm not gonna bother treating it. When I'll move to a new apt, I'll make sure I have a good room to work with and I'll set everything up properly and spend some money on room treatment. I also need to adjust my sub with an SPL meter. As I said, at this point I'm not doing anything serious, I got this setup for entertainment and it definitely delivers on that!
BTW, I got three monitors for gaming, no way that I'm going to get rid of one of them!
Aye aye, sounds good

It's definitely a nice setup, just needs some minor tweaking is all. And like I said, unless you really get into music creation, it's not super important. If you really wanna get nerdy, you could get a pink noise generator and see how your room reacts.

My room is horrible. I've spent a while trying to figure out where to put my sub, but a lot of bass still gathers in the corners (all 7 of them) and is uneven around the room. I'm thinking about getting a second sub to put in the right corner because it should even out the sound, but then it will be even more difficult to access the balcony. Also, my wallet still hurts from all the stuff that you see in the pic and yet I haven't even upgraded my PC to run games at 7680x1440 (waiting nVidia to release their flagship 28nm cards).
This sucks though, because right now I can clearly localize my sub and it's pissing me off.

the realistic has a massive transformer and filter caps, plus it has the old power transistors that i like.
one of my source out is a computer using an old audiomedia 3 card , cheap and good.
sounds nice

Post pics please!
its not set up atm
i had it in like a dining room but my kids took it over for their piano practice and i reconfigured the setup in there
those speakers are not something you want to sit close to thats for sure, super overdetailed ey, that would be like needles in the head.
though they penetrate far around the house with clarity though

It pays to do your research before making a purchase like that

got some new satellites - DefTech Promonitor 1000's to replace the Titans. They're about half the size and sound very nearly as good. They lose a little on the low end, but not much.
