It's called a "medley", and typically the whole team - they usually have a bigger podium.

also the eurovision sports coverage is impressive but there is no commentating, which I'm now sadly used to. Kinda makes the odd sports hard to follow.

I know, I used to be a competitive swimmer and participated in a few medleys myself. Isn't that the event that we were talking about (maybe it was a relay and I didn't read carefully)?
