my little lady is in kindergarden now , she has been reading pretty well since the begining (age 2) and writing for well over a year.

so at school they have to do practice thier letters on the fucking ipad lol

its got this filthy scrren protector on it and you have to press hard and shit cuz its so glitchy

she doest like to maul general public goo ey

pretty fucking stupid tho, ffs use a crayon or pencil at least

Who in gods names came up with that idea? An iPad is absolutely horrific to write on. I mean, even writing with a stylus on my Galaxy Note 10.1" isn't as smooth and nice as writing on a piece of paper with a good pen. And what does it add in terms of educational value? Final question is of course who's paying for that stuff? I bet the parents are forced to buy an iPad? I would flip them off and take my kid to a different school.

That makes absolutely no sense. You normally don't use the device while it's charging. And like Donny said, that's still less obtrusive than the dongle.

Also, there's no real practical alternative to charging the device via a plug and a wire. There is, however, an alternative to using an odd SD card dongle and that's simply integrating an SD slot into the device. There's no real reason not to do that other than Apple's megalomanial form of control over the devices.

Pretty sure it only works with photos and videos on cameras. I don't think you can pull a PDF from your USB flash drive. I could be wrong.

Still, if the device has an SD slot then you don't need to dickaround with a dongle that costs you aditional money as well. It also depends on how you use the SD card. I use the SD card as expanded storage rather than a removable storage for transferring files. In other words, I'm in constant need of the SD card or, at best, I would always need to carry the dongle around in case I'd need the SD card.

Either way, for a premium product like the iPhone or iPad, the absence of an SD card slot is a glaring shortcoming.

jesus, you're such a fandriod you cant even see whats going on here. Not sure where I was arguing that it shouldn't include extra ports. I simply educated you retards that there was SD and USB connectivity if you needed it. Its an ACCESSORY, complaining that you have to plug it in is a stupid argument. Maybe learn to use dropbox or the cloud if you dont like plugging things in?

I think you might be able to with filebrowser app. But im too lazy to try. I don't usually store much on ipad. I have some pdf books I transfered over wifi to ibooks via itunes. Also dropbox and icloud. Ive only used the reader to view some video and photos from camcorder and camera.

The nerds who want USB and a file system and an SD card reader are the same people who didn't get the iPad when it launched, didn't get Twitter, thought Flash was the future, etc. They're spectactularly out of touch and generally have no taste.
