miserable English weather
Re: miserable English weather
Randy is a pretty sweaty guy.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.
Re: miserable English weather
no you haven't Randy, unless the laws of thermodynamics don't apply in your (red)neck of the woodsScourge wrote:Bullshit. I've sweated in temps higher than that.seremtan wrote:which means it must have been between 100 and 104F. anything higher and you wouldn't sweat at all, because body temperature
Re: miserable English weather
Wait what? You think that if the temperature exceeds that of body temperature there is no sweatage?

Re: miserable English weather
well ok, not none whatsoever, but sweating is a thermo-regulator, so if the surrounding air temperature is at, say, 37C, there's a thermodynamic equilibrium between your core body temperature and your environment, hence sweating will slow down dramatically (obviously more so if it's 37C+)Ryoki wrote:Wait what? i was simplifying it a little so Randy would understand
Re: miserable English weather
Thermodynamically that might make sense, but in fact i sweat my balls off in anything over 30C disagrees.
But then i'm a north european, genetically disadvantaged in warm climates. My blood is simply too thick, it's horrible. I tend to sweat all over the place and stumble around in a stupor looking for water, whilst getting worried looks from the locals who fear i might have a deadly case of flying jungle lepra...

Ah...the flying jungle lepra.
They're still cousins of tigers, right?

Re: miserable English weather
lepra, not zebras.
Re: miserable English weather
All I know is I'm sweating like a pig and my balls are stuck to my legs.
White people shouldn't have to go through this.

I'm still wearing long pants. You brits are funny.
Re: miserable English weather
weird. this country has a rep for shitty weather, and people act surprised that Brits can't handle the heat
Re: miserable English weather
because 80 degrees isn't heat lol
Re: miserable English weather
hey uk pussies of all types, irish, scots, welsh, brits. Its 82 as I go to bed and I can barely tell. In that 90-95 temps I ride a motorcycle with 70 degree gear on. Solid textile pants, perforated leather...
You brits are so funny.

Re: miserable English weather
Don't think that's quite true unless you are utterly motionless and have some sort of freakishly low metabolism. The body creates heat when it burns calories as part of the metabolic process and that heat has to go somewhere, IE: out of the skin. If the outside temp is 37C then you will sweat bags because now your SKIN is 37C (or close to it, whereas normally it's closer to 32C) and that puts even more stress on your body to maintain a core temp of 37C. If you didn't sweat in this case then the excess heat created by metabolism would simply have nowhere to go, build up and you'd get pretty fucked up.seremtan wrote:well ok, not none whatsoever, but sweating is a thermo-regulator, so if the surrounding air temperature is at, say, 37C, there's a thermodynamic equilibrium between your core body temperature and your environment, hence sweating will slow down dramatically (obviously more so if it's 37C+)Ryoki wrote:Wait what? IE: This is why you sweat when it's hot out even when you are doing nothing except sitting. It's because the skin is hotter than usual and thus sweat is employed to whisk away heat. Normally the skin's cooler temperature is sufficient to maintain a safe core level.

how often do you need the same obvious point repeated before it sinks in?EtUL wrote:because 80 degrees isn't heat lol

Okay this is up there among the dumb things you've said on this forum. Close to the idiocy of your comments on Fukushima even.seremtan wrote:which means it must have been between 100 and 104F. anything higher and you wouldn't sweat at all, because body temperatureScourge wrote:Working outside in 100+F weather does make you sweat, yes.

Re: miserable English weather
A grown ass man who thinks people don't sweat unless its greater than 37C outside? haha what a dumb..... Go sit in the corner with DTS.
