well ok, not none whatsoever, but sweating is a thermo-regulator, so if the surrounding air temperature is at, say, 37C, there's a thermodynamic equilibrium between your core body temperature and your environment, hence sweating will slow down dramatically (obviously more so if it's 37C+)

Thermodynamically that might make sense, but in fact i sweat my balls off in anything over 30C disagrees.

But then i'm a north european, genetically disadvantaged in warm climates. My blood is simply too thick, it's horrible. I tend to sweat all over the place and stumble around in a stupor looking for water, whilst getting worried looks from the locals who fear i might have a deadly case of flying jungle lepra...

Don't think that's quite true unless you are utterly motionless and have some sort of freakishly low metabolism. The body creates heat when it burns calories as part of the metabolic process and that heat has to go somewhere, IE: out of the skin. If the outside temp is 37C then you will sweat bags because now your SKIN is 37C (or close to it, whereas normally it's closer to 32C) and that puts even more stress on your body to maintain a core temp of 37C. If you didn't sweat in this case then the excess heat created by metabolism would simply have nowhere to go, build up and you'd get pretty fucked up.

IE: This is why you sweat when it's hot out even when you are doing nothing except sitting. It's because the skin is hotter than usual and thus sweat is employed to whisk away heat. Normally the skin's cooler temperature is sufficient to maintain a safe core level.
