I wonder what it's like to have to endure such horrible conditions. I wouldn't know because I have beautiful weather all year 'round.

No it only takes a few hours from what I can tell once you're at this time of year. This morning when I woke up everything was frozen shut, like doors, tires to the ground etc. The roads were surprisingly not too bad but my driveway is a huge skating rink right now. I was afraid the roads would be more icy than they wound up being but it's still not extremely cold out at -6.

I should have taken pics of my wifes car, she was on vacation for roughly 3 weeks during the holidays and spent it at my place since we live in different cities so she left her lancer parked at home. When we got there a few days ago all of our winters storms had accumulated on her car while she was gone. There was about a foot of snow over the car and under that foot of snow was roughly 6 inches of ice that covered the ENTIRE car from top to bottom. We spent about 3 hours picking at the ice and shoveling the snow before we were able to free it. Even then it was still frozen in place by the 6 inches of ice that had accumulated around the tires, we threw some salt on that and came back the next day to push it out of it's rut.

If you haven't had to deal with nasty winter temps and conditions I'd count myself lucky but playing in the snow is fun.
