I must admit, having watched Daredevil before this series of GoT started, I felt that fight scene paled in comparison to some of the excellent fight choreography in DD.

But then again, the close quarter filming didn't really allow for stunt doubles in the GoT fight scene, so that old dude had to do all his own sword work. And while the character is a knight of renown, the actor's definitely not physically up to the stuff the character is.

BTW, if you haven't seen it yet, you guys really need to watch Daredevil.

Gives me hope that we might one day see a decent Punisher adaptation. It would be doubly awesome if they adapted Garth Ennis' Punisher Max for the small screen.

Actually, the character Barristan Selmy is an old man. In the books, he constantly reminisces his former battle prowess and thinks about how he's grown old and slow now.

Ne bros think that the final fight scene was pretty lame? They've been good about avoiding film tropes, but the way the bad guys attacked one by one, and didn't bother finishing off spartan obama when they had tons of time was pretty weak. Not to mention the old man kills all those dudes in a lack luster manner while the bad ass tribe of dickless spartans got their shit stomped. I get that he was the best knight or whatever, but the way it played out was pretty crap

What made me frown was that 4 supposedly intensely hardcore dickless spartans got so proper fucked up by a bunch of rich guy nancies whose combat experience is limited to sneakily slicing people's throats while they chill out with a whore.

For me the two scenes that stood in the last episode out were the moment where the imp has a conversation with his kidnapper and the little speech that one tough little Xena lookalike chick gave with regards to war and vengeance. Proper GoT stuff i thought

Well, the Unsullied got ambushed so they were at a big disadvantage. They are also trained for warfare, not for patrolling like some policemen.

The ambush would have made more sense if they came out of nowhere and started stabbing spartans. The robe guys basically surrounded them and stood there for a few seconds which gave the spartans time to assess what was going on.

The same thing with the old guy. He got their attention first and the robe guys turned around and prepared themselves but still lost. If the old guy would have came out of nowhere and started lopping off harpy heads, it wouldn't have looked as silly.

Maybe it's nit picky, but the scene could have been executed better to make it less jarring.

I didn't even realize this, but in the scene where Sansa is in the crypts of Winterfell, she finds a feather on Lyanna Stark's grave. This feather was put there by Robert Baratheon in the first episode of season 1. Nice bit of continuity

The sand snakes are becoming more stupid every episode. First their dumb introduction, then that abysmal water garden fight (which was way worse than the Mereen fight) and then the completely useless "Bronn is poisoned and oh look now he's not" scene, with added titties because hey, Game of Thrones. It's no longer functional nudity, it's spotty teen "omg tits let's jerk off!!" nudity now.
