Tried it a few times - has a certain charm of it's own, like riding a whale.

Honestly, the great acting is really the only thing that kept this season going. That and some beautiful cinematography. The story just wasn't there, and for a show called True Detective, there wasn't much detective work...

The actors actually grew on me but the writing sucked massive balls.

Yeah. When it was first announced that Farrell and Vaugh were leading, I had my doubts. But they actually had some pretty amazing performances. Especially Farrell. McAdams and Kitsch also did great.

I have a feeling this Nic guy had a great story for the first season but wasn't prepared to follow it up. Season 3 will make or break the series...

On a dark Vinci highway, our escape went fair
Warm smell of Bezzeridies, what's she done to her hair?
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
We'd got away with risking life and limb
looks like motel for tonight
There she stood in the doorway;
She was distraught as hell
And I was thinking to myself,
"That could be something I should help to quell"
Maybe light up a doobie? so I offered a J
Then I wandered down the corridor
To a bike cop who's gay

Didn't he get the fuck sued out of him for plagiarizing the story for the first season?
