I agree with you and Drum. It doesn't matter what kind of game you are playing---it is just a polite way to acknowledge that someone else had a game with you.

People shouldn't use the fact that they are interacting online to drop basic politeness, though unfortunately we all know a lot of them do.

Sometimes I forget if i'm using TS (in which case, you kinda forget that the keyboard exists for communication), but in general games, i'll generally try and be inter-sociable. Its e-rude not to.
