Looks like there recruiting at the top of the page. I tried a bablefish translation but that looks like Polish(?) which BF doesn't have so it returns an error.

btw that skybox problem - looks like they took those screens off a machine w/ ATI card, which has a problem with edge pixels on q3a skyboxes. Prepare for comic capers as the OMG R0XX0R L33T n00b realises that having the rights to use q3map means restricting yourself severely in the graphics dept. Unless his mum & dad offer a fat cheque to ydnar to use q3map2, which would be the one ray of light in this shitfest. Ydnar can then buy us all pie.

this is NOT the game, which licensed the q3 scource! it's just a usual mod, nothing more!

Sorry for my bad English.

I would like to write you a big emendation. They are floating a lot of serious misunderstands on the air.
I don't write you in this forum so far, because I didn'nt know that this topic exists. :icon23:

The 'Survivor of disaster' game, which developes the hungarian 'Radioactive games' team, NOT uses the commercial Quake3 engine, and we NOT licenced it for $ 250.000!!!!!!!!! I think an amateur band haven't enought money to licence a professional game engine. So I don't think, it would be a serious failure, to use a pair of downloaded textures, skyboxes and mapobject models in our maps. The game will be FREEWARE and you can it download fro free when SOD will be done.

On december 2004, we started this project. But only therefore, to be some levels and concepts done, when sir Carmack releases the fully-free Quake3 code. We built this game as only a Quake3 mod so far, but today the Quake3 engine is open-source, we can name the 'SOD-mod' now as 'SOD-game'. :icon25:

So be calm, NOT we bought the engine to make a hypersuper-ultrashit game with and release it in the stores. So we don't breached the rules of 'Photorealistic mappack' licence, the 'Evil lair textures' licence, the 'LDA weapons' licence etc.


Some personal reactions:

We have an 25 years old programmer, two 30 years old designer (with a lot of experiences at famous hungarian dev-teams (Stormregion, Mithis etc.), an 27 years old mapper and a lot of 18-22 years old helpers. But most of us are really younger than. But is this a really so big problem? :confused: :confused: :confused:

Eraser: This is no more our main menu. It was when the game used the Quake2 - evolved engine (2003-2004). But we changed te engine to Quake3 on december 2004. And we started the REAL game project NOW, when TTimo released the opensource engine.

dzjepp: I remember at O'dium. I Write sometimes some posts at the Blur forum (not much because my weak English knowledges :icon26: ). O'dium knows almost all about our project. :puke:

We must stop the DOOM3 ctf project because we haven't found an ENOUGH good programmer. We have now an advanced programmer, but we don't keep up the works at DOOM3 CTF mod because RoE includes a fully-functional surer CTF mod. :icon33:

Wastrel, no hard feelings. Just remember, you can't use other people's art assets without their permission. And you cannot use the id stock art assets (like weapon models, etc.) because these are still copyrighted.

Good luck, and when your game sees the light of day, I will be sure to check it out. ;)
