Oh em gee. Thanks a lot. I just spent fifteen minutes desperately searching through the vgcats archive and still didn't find it.

28 weeks later was boring, I hated it. I don't like movies where all the characters are stupid as hell because it just pisses me off watching them get everyone killed. The only cool guy was the sniper and then he gets out and gets cooked alive instead of shooting the flamethrower guys first.

Knocked Up
7/10

some amazing fucking one-liners and hillarious scenes/situations. otherwise the movie is kinda dull, unless you're really into having a baby or something. btw, anyone else get that the movie is telling you that you can knock up the hottest chick in the world and she'll fall in love you? that's just wrong.

that movie made me ror a lot, but it turned kinda gay when the cool husband decided he should give up everything in his life because his wife is clingy.

hah i was just talking to someone about that movie and our fav characters were the married couple. i loved the part when she found him playing fantasy baseball and they had the whole discussion about needing their own space and needing each other. "but i wanted to see spirder man 3 :tear: "

Knocked up was funny idd, but the theme itself was - I think - a bit too romantic and serious.
Same director and a few familiar actors frmo The 40 year old virging made it funny.

Saw it last night and I give it a shit/10. So ridiculously predictable, nothing engaging about it at all. And the fact that dad was hunting down his kids after he got infected was fucking stupid. I do give the film mad points for the utterly brutal scene where dad kills mom. I was actually shocked at that. Other than that it was complete shit.

I have to admit i probably gave it an eight because i got my bimonthly zombie fix - in hindsight ... yeah.. not so good huh. I had the same thing with Land of the Dead.

There's another scene that deserves credit for brutality: the opening scene in the cottage. I nearly lost my shit when the zombies start gatecrashing, chewing their way through that disfunctional little survivor family.

Man, that had nothing on daddy plunging his thumbs into mommy's fucking eyesockets. :olo:
Another stupid scene was the helicopter mowing down the "zombies". ffs.

Let me enlighten you how it happens then: it was in the script.

Reservoir Dogs 9/10

It's been years since i last saw it and for some reason i popped it in the DVD player this weekend - what an excellent, excellent film. Still Tarantino's best, i think.

The Lives of Others 9/10

it's subtitled but it's just a wonderful piece of work. Sets right after ww2 (read: it's not a ww2 movie) where the government in germany was pretty much monitoring everyone and everything...very original, very refreshing

it gets a 9/10 for it's genre and probably an 8/10 as an overall movie.

Sling Blade 9.5/10

excellent drama written by billy bob thorton who also plays the lead role. simply the best movie he has been in. top notch supporting actors with well developed characters.

it's been around for awhile(1996)so if you haven't seen it, get to it.

i recommend the directors cut version. 15 minutes longer(148 mins) than the original.

You thought the reason that Cage gets the fine ass in the movie was because it was a program on the discovery channel. :olo:

Grandma's Boy 6.5/10

If you like movies about nerds, video games, smoking weed and wannabes, this is kinda funny. It has some good laugs, but nothing HILARIOUS.
