i've come across a few people (though not in this thread) who support holland for no other reason than that. if i *had* to criticise spain, it's that they're too elaborate with their passing. puyol's header was the most ironic winning goal of any game in the WC so far, given the way spain play

i was kinda expecting a goal to come from a set piece in the end :], and tbh, i didnt know which way

I wouldnt say spain overplayed the game, i didnt hear any of the critics mention alonso's missed attempts from range because the German defence was doing so good, bit of overplaying was needed to get in behind the defence and the only fuck up i think came from pedro, when spain were already 1-0 up with minutes to go ?

and fair enough, ive met people who support a particular team because they like the shirt , i wouldve thought a lot of brits wouldve cheered for the spanish though and the people who like the team 'with the shiney boots' ive noticed are leaning onto Spain
