Re: The Election Thread
Saw an interesting analysis of "hate tweets" made following the election. Guess which state had the highest percentage? That's right, Alabama! Followed closely by other Southern, redneck, Romney-supporting states.
Re: The Election Thread

Re: The Election Thread
I've seen people trying to spin it around too, claiming that since around 90% of black people voted for Obama that they're the real racists.
Except they've been voting like that for Dems since the 60s.... http://www.factcheck.org/2008/04/blacks ... tic-party/

Re: The Election Thread
at least your "hate tweeters" don't get a visit from the po-po because a herd of butthurt crybabies got all offended in their pants - like what happens in countries where they don't have free speech, like britain for exampleNightshade wrote:Saw an interesting analysis of "hate tweets" made following the election. Have fun starting and training your own military from scratch, setting up trade deals with other nations and states (good luck not getting cockblocked by the USA), losing nearly all tourism and shipping traffic, losing your sports teams, losing all your citizens that aren't retarded or who have jobs with the US government or that require interstate trade/travel.
What else am I forgetting? Honestly, I feel like a full-scale USA break up would turn out a lot like the USSR for most of the country.

Re: The Election Thread
If the US split up you'd have one country full of smart, relatively peaceful people running things as a republic and another country based on feudalism who'd be constantly trying to declare war on the other country...and most likely trying to declare war on Canada and Mexico as well...because to not do that is a sign of weakness.
In short: any "confederate" country would be exactly like Afghanistan.

Re: The Election Thread
That's a horrible idea. The southern states would pretty much instantly be the most "rogue" state on the planet (in terms of creating instability, war, violence and stupidity) and would be competing with Israel as the most psychopathic.
Nobody wins if the south rises.

Well, Geoff might finally realize that he's living in a shit state full of racist, self-serving, uneducated hicks, come to his senses, move to a more progressive state, and peel off that tinfoil from his forehead. As he will be living closer to the rest of us, I'm not convinced that would be considered a "win", though.

Re: The Election Thread
LOL that's hilarious. It'll die down before too long, though. I don't doubt that. I'm sure Obama is rolling his eyes at the whole ordeal.

You people are pretty naive to think that way, considering the US has the most racist gun-nuts per capita. Do you guys seriously believe that nobody would attempt an assassination or having some nutter shoot up a group of "Liberals" in public...particularly after the information bubble that's been keeping the right-wingers happy the last 12 years has burst? It's not like mass shootings never happen in the US and it's not like Every.Single.Mass.Shooting.In.US.History wasn't perpetrated by a right-wing gun nut who was angry at the direction the world was taking.losCHUNK wrote:Storm in a teacup :]

It's never good to have really dumb people really angry at you and there are ALOT of really dumb people who are really angry at Obama and the rest of "non-real America". And having Paul Ryan state just the other day that the reason they lost the election was because "too many black people voted" will just add fuel to the fire.
Re: The Election Thread
Individuals are fucking stupid, I won't argue that. After all, 1 in 4 presidents have had assassination attempts made against them, and 1 in 10 have died from assassination. The fact that Obama hasn't been shot at yet really does surprise me. But those in power know better than to try and pull away from America. They are aware of all the negatives that bitWISE pointed out. If nothing else, it would hurt their pockets, which is enough to stop them from taking any real action.

Re: The Election Thread
Was talking about the petition to withdraw states from the union, if some individual is angry enough to go round shooting then i'll treat him as one stupid individual, as it stands it's a collection of stupid red necks speaking their mind which wouldn't be the 1st time for civil unrest nor has it always resulted in a dead leader.GONNAFISTYA wrote:Transient wrote:LOL that's hilarious. Ryan for saying that will stoke flames though and sounds very bitter, spose you can't say it was a racist remark, an ignorant one atleast and just shows the comedy nature of their whole party if this man is one of its intended leaders, that has the potential to blow up in his face.

Re: The Election Thread
I heard Obama won because urban voters turned out in droves. Wtf does that even mean? God damn urban voters.
Re: The Election Thread
It means poor people.
Re: The Election Thread
Clearly all the poor people turned out to vote because they just wanted free stuff.
Re: The Election Thread
Oh. I thought poor people lived in the sticks. Paul Ryan sure is a jack-off.
