Don't you worry, I'm very chillaxed - the answer to that question seemed pretty straightforward though.

A prehistoric Tamron 500mm mirror tele (800mm on my APS-C, manual focus), an overstrainded tripod, wind and a steelwork near my home nevertheless led to graphical quite interesting results:

Cool shots. They have an old school look to them. All those pipes make me think of Quake, heh

I didn't delete it. Looks like flickr deletes it during the upload...?

That depends on your account settings. You can opt to leave the EXIF data intact.

Another awesome lens that is a sweet deal is the 85mm F1.8. It is by far my favorite lens to use out of all them - even the L series lenses. It's incredibly sharp at F2.0 and turns regular shots into instant portraits with its very shallow depth of field.

The only way to bag a classy lady is to give her 2 tickets to the gun show...

I wish the EXIF data was in shots like those on Boston's Big Picture blog...I always am interested to see what they were using for some of that stuff.

For just over 2 years old he's getting good at throwing that pose out there.

Here are a couple recent HDR's. Color tones are a bit off in the browser.

Haven't seen HDR stuff in a while, good stuff

I was thinking of going back through this thread and saving all your HDR images, as I really like them. Any chance you could save me the work and make a zip upload of all your HDR images?

You'd have them faster if you just saved them from here, but I'll zip some up when I have a chance.

Here are a few shots - not HDR of course - from Seattle.

Nice shots tnf... those ones of Seattle are very clean. I guess that's what you get with the better lenses... less noise. I always remember taking night shots with a shitty point-and-shoot, you get so much grain when its dark out.

Thanks!
I think its probably more to do with the sensor than the lenses when noise is concerned. The better sensors given you smoother tonal gradients. The lenses do help with things as well though - colors, sharpness, and I'm sure noise to some extent too.

A couple more - a shot taken at twilight of the same skyline and one of the mountain lakes we stopped at while driving through the North Cascades.

The peir I was on for the skyline shots was also used by professional crabbers.
