It looks worse with the trim up than it did before the trim, which is a serious problem obviously because it looked really crappy with no trim. fuck u

Too many wires not to be, moron.

120 volts = Hot, Neutral and ground. (3) wires.

There are (4) wires in that photo.

Have you checked your breaker panel yet?

That's what I thought you would do to get both surfaces to line up. But in reality it's poor craftsmanship. You also didn't answer the moisture barrier question, which makes me think your structure is in jeopardy of several more problems in the future.
