it's so refreshing to see screenshots of a game that isn't drowning in bloom and shininess
on the other hand, the knowledge that those chairs and books are made of solid concrete that not even a direct hit with the RL could destroy makes me a little bit sad

Hey Inf!
The thing that struck me about Sock's library, and confirmed by the style and manner of the new industrial texture set used in the crane level, was just how darn good Sock's ability to create textures and apply them. Creating textures where the seams on the image details marry with the edges of the object geometry works so very well, and really sets Sock's work apart.
Looking at the chair in the foreground. It's a wooden chair. Most level designers would use a wood texture, maybe align a little and be satisfied. I love the way the wood texture here has been created and used to define the edges of the object. It's both simple and very clever at the same time.
After all this time it is fantastic that there is still a community here helping to raise the bar over and over again!

@MrLego, thanks, I am glad to hear there are others who love the medieval stuff.
@Myth, wow long time no see, hope you have fun creating something new in Radiant.
@Infernis, thanks for the kind words and support.
@seremtan, it does seem that when an artists discovers spec+norm maps they go crazy
@dONKEY, less waffle and more screenshots, I want see what you have been doing!

Nice, Julek.
What's that texture set? I don't recognize it.

Thanks. This is my set, created specifically for this map. It has no name.

I came across an old and unfinished Quake 3 map. Reinstalled Radiant and started to play around with it. I'm going for the very original Quake 1 look

Anyway, here are two editor shots. The lights are temporary of course.

Thanks, but this is actually my first map if I ever finish it
Yeah, I need to cap it. There are plenty of things left to do in those 2 shots.

Looks awesome!
Only suggestion is that the tire tracks in the first screenshot don't look nearly natural going around the bend. Cars can't turn that sharply and most drivers would curve around the apex. Also, front and rear tires don't match the exact same path along a bend.

Is that brush based or is that from a modelling program?
