Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Unfortunately its industry has instilled a sense of grim nostalgia in me now.

your dad is saying: "once son, all this was filth."
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Went visiting today on a cleaning bee ....

Love the curves and lines on this one.

Note the date bottom left on mural.

Love the mix of the old and new (middle) on this picture. The buildings are built at least 100 years apart in time

If you go back far enough yeah. Outokumpu Stainless SMACC, used to be AvestaPolarit, used to be British Steel. It's their foundry in Sheffield.phantasmagoria wrote:love that one. British Steel?

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Pretty much only doing photography for my business now but the last month I've been doing some shots from rooftops of buildings downtown
for some historical register project.

The light in the sky was a helicopter - wasn't sure if I liked it in there or not. Kept it, thought it was sort of unique.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Reminds me of this picture I recently shot:

Here it was a Lear jet crossing my motif. Unfortunately the way of the jet touched the right edge of the picture. Otherwise it would have been perfect. Also it was quite stormy that night. So no wonder the crane hook isn't sharp with ~2min exposure.

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
What type of shots are those? Is that just stationary time lapse?
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Fuck it, I might as well put my Pacific Northwest photos in here...

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE
Mine is just a camera, a tripod, a cable release, f8/2min and some luck with the jet. No editing in photoshop except reducing size and slight sharpening. The dotted line comes from the flashing lights of the moving plane. No time lapse here.
That tree is crazy....

Re: PHOTOS PLEASE

tomorrow morning, will do more magnification. This one is a composite of 20 images, but it wasn't enough because there are still some blurry parts due to atmospheric distortion.
Re: PHOTOS PLEASE

made one that is 11.6kx15k and is really nice looking but flickr wont upload it.
