Bad part though, its ABV content is only about 4.0% It should be a 7.0% comming from Scotland.

The Belhaven is a nice beer. Though not near as "Hard" as I had expected.
I can only suspect that this is what is ment by a true red ale. Unlike some crap reds that Anhiser-Bush sells here in the states.

Nice creamy white head that sticks to the glass.

Aromas are malted and nutty.

A slight fruity taste with some creamy malt effects, ending with a slight carmel finish.

If its ABV % was higher this would be a grand Ale.

I can however see myself sitting down with friends and slaping a few of them back.

Not ment to be served "Cold" Tastes better warm. 55-60 degrees.

7 out of 10.

Review of the Chimay Grand Reserve.

Oh my god kids. This is the best Chimay thay make. And well worth the price. Retail $10.00 a 750 mill bottle like I posted.

This Ale pours a nice dark color, with a fast head that quickly yealds, and thats poured slow and steady. The head is an off white with plenty of carboniazation that drops off. (first pour from bottle)

The aroma is as well complex that hides any real thing you can point to. Except mayby hops. Its that clean.

Taste is also complex. Its hard to put a taste to it. It aint hops nor malts that I taste here. It more like a bitter sweet stout. Almost like an Oatmeal stought. Its just that complex.

Mouthfeel is outstanding. Thick and creamy. Drinks like a meal. (explore the world of Ales and you will understand)

All this hides the ABV content that is 9.0%, yet you feal the warmth in the gut. This one packs a whollop.

Outstanding for value and enjoyment if any of you can get ahold of a bottle or two.

As for me, Im going to purchase a whole case, as it does age well.
