virtually every 'battlestation' ever posted online comes with a box of tissues. officially, it's to blow your nose or to keep the screen clean - unofficially it's for wiping the semen off your chest after you've just ejaculated over some porn

Indeed. I also eat at my PC desk. The little green microfiber cloth is for the screens tho. For the other thing I actually use paper towels :paranoid:

I'm on a mission to simplify my home setup and get rid of wires. A few months ago I had a shop custom build a pretty good desktop for gaming. About 2 months later I got sick of seeing the giant thing (even in a compact case I still hated it) in my condo and sold it. Asked the IT dept to get rid of the big computer at my desk at work and I bought a surface 3 to replace it. It's so much nicer to just have an open, flexible work space. Got a wireless mouse (logitech G602 is quite nice) and looking for a good keyboard to use with the same receiver. Not much I can do about the monitor yet, unfortunately. As I get older I get more and more minimalist. I try to get rid of things I don't need just to simplify my life.

Exact reason why I just have Apple products. I miss not being able to play games, but I have one wire per product, or in some cases, none.

Switched all my external HD's for a big NAS thing, too, now I have a two wires with 16tb of storage or something similar tucked out of the way in another room.

I just got sick of seeing lumps of plastic everywhere that had to be kept against walls to hide all the shit growing out of the back of them. It's definitely an age thing, too. You don't really care about your environment when you're younger, I know I didn't.

I don't like technology being visible in the house, I think it's a bit tacky.

I completely agree.

When my house if finally built, I'll be heavily involved with the design. And one thing I plan is to have all my screens/gadgets/consoles integrated into the house so there won't be any wires running around...

You're absolutely right Geoff. No construction has started and won't for another couple years. We've got the land bought and I've started designing the home, but that's it. We're saving another couple years so we can pay for the house in cash...

Geoff, regardless of your advancing years, if you started doing something with your life you'd be less threatened by the goals and accomplishments of people on here, and wouldn't feel the need to be so negative all the time.

I bought a custom Lego model from overseas recently. I was thinking I'd have for my birthday but missed by a week. I finished assembly a week or two ago and took some picture. All good fun :D

It was great challenge to build and being a custom model there are no retail type hard-copy instructions. Rather good instructions are supplied (digitally) and accessed via Lego Digital Designer (LDD).

Although a little complex in some areas, that was nice as it made me think.

Enjoy the album here  https://imgur.com/gallery/ugtQk

LEGO used to be a creativity toy, where you were left to build what you wanted to build

now it's basically just blocky Airfix/Revell
