I have just watched episodes 1, 2 & 3.. Don't mind it at all.

I see on the Wiki currently only 9 episodes. Is it still going or has it been canned?

Hey, you know what, I've seen episode 6 where
Burnham is going to save Sarek
and episode 7 with
Mudd putting the Discovery in a timeloop
and those episodes felt much more StarTrek-ey to me than any previous episode. There was a much bigger sense of various people cooperating against a common threat. There was actual problem solving. I liked these episodes much more than the others.

As for the swearing... I'm not noticing it... at all I mean. Have I been so desensitized to such thing that it's really no big deal anymore?

I think your 2nd spoiler was my favourite ep. I also like ones revolving around Lorca, the last ep was boss.

Yeah, I like it but seems to lack the hook most ST gives.

Was jus ep 10, was one of the best of the season

RLM said it quite well where basically Orville has taken the Trek space, DSC has shifted towards the Star Wars 'space opera' and Star Wars have run off a cliff with a bag of money.

All 1st seasons are pretty dire for ST tho, this is possibly one of the best 1st seasons of any Trek.

I suppose we should all be happy it's not another DS9. God that show was awful.

DS9 is a tricky one, that's the point where ST realised they needed to do something different but didn't know what. It was good when it got into its stride but there was a lot I hated about it, mainly Jake and anything to do with the prophets. I actually think ENT was the better series now :ninja:

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want Trek to go back to its roots but the question is, did Star Trek need to change direction ?. After Voyager it did get burned out but today ?, I really dunno based on the success of Orville, but then everything in Orville is rehashed from Trek, which leads us back around to burn out, so I really dunno

You watch it all, with the dominion war ?. I'm guessing you liked the rest of them ?, If so you're one of those purest of pure trekkies :)
