Outpost = 6.5/10 - Decent flick with Nazi ghosts.

Blindness = 8.5/10 - A really good movie.

Surveillance 7/10

Quite a fucked up, cynical, misantropic flick.
Not that I expected much else from David Lynche's daughter.
And a lot better than her Boxing Helena.

But just wanted to say to UK peeps its £5 for the special edition DVD in Asda. Good buy.
How do you know it's a good buy for £5 if you haven't watched it?

Because its just come out and its a bargain.

Also the film was fine, wasn't ground breaking or best film ever but I enjoyed it. Sorry about that.

Uzak ("Distant") - a Turkish film trying to be an existential Japanese/Russian film? boring, small-minded, stale. won some awards at Cannes in 2004ish.
skip it.

oh, and Wanted blew. (as usual) they took an interesting graphic novel, raped it, and crapped out another formulaic hollywood hero-hitman movie. *yawn*

i might be tempted to pay $5 (but not £5) just for the scene of angelina getting out of the bacta tank... if i were a little drunk. that doesn't mean it's not a shit movie.

Fantasy? Your posts are here for all to see. Unless you're referring to the fact that the average 12 year old girl has a greater grasp of the English language than you.

Valley of the Wolves, Iraq 2/10

Bought this Turkish film about the Iraq war for shits and giggles (and because it was a mere 2 euros) but apparently there is some sort of relation between cost and quality i wasn't previously aware of.

First half of the film consists of a completely unwatchable mixture of Turkish nationalist propaganda, unintentionally funny scenes, a plot so ridiculous my brain almost shut down and toe-curlingly bad acting. After a while the unintentionally funny bits become unfunny and the viewer slinks into depression at the thought that apparently millions of otherwise relatively sane Turkish people believe the utter nonesense the main characters keep banging on about. I had to switch it off halfway because i couldn't handle it anymore.

Avoid, at all costs. Definitely somewhere high in my top 10 list of Worst Movies I Ever Saw.

I totally agree with that. However Wanted isn't even a good pocorn flick.

It's shit.

Enemy at the Gates

Eh.

I hadn't seen this before, but checked it out this weekend. I don't think Jude Law was the proper person for this role. It wasn't very good.

How is 1 below average a pile of shit? Wouldn't an average movie be a 5?

This might be because Zack and Miri was a Kevin Smith film, and 40yo virgin was a Judd Apatow film.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno was okay, it was funniest in the beginning but then it got all faggy at the end. It was also really awkward, I hate that shit in movies, it isn't funny.

I go by the same system as the U.S. school grading system.

So, 7/10 = C = average.

4 / 10 = a low F

and so on...

The Thing - 10/10

They don't make them like they used to. John Carpenter is just amazing.
