females represent a small portion of the market, so no that isnt why it sold so much. Fact is nintendo products sell, jsut look at pokemon. And fact is the games that sell most arent the adult or m rated games, hence why call of duty 2 wont have alot of blood/gore/and even ragdoll physics. Although msot people that actualy buy games are adults alot of who they buy for are their families or kids, or the whole household.
