"Proper" education? Who are you, the authority on all things concerning intelligence, knowledge and literature? I really have no stand in this particular argument, but I see no justification in you waving your diploma in anybody's face. I have two degrees from a reputable university and so fucking what? How does that really put me over anybody else in terms of insight? I see shits like you all the time walking around with sticks in their asses, hiding behind their pieces of paper, which in fact hardly indicate anything at all, besides maybe having the opportunity and/or the money/support to participate in an academic environment and not being overly moronic enough to drop out.

Definitly needs some punctuation if you expect someone to understand all that in one pass.

Calm down skippy, you're gonna blow a gasket. There's nothing wrong with someone asserting their bona fides in defense of their position.

Clearly you havn't read many of Kracus' posts. He will argue any point as long as it's contradictory to what someone else is arguing. He thinks there's some sort of post-modern approach to looking at anything. I don't claim to be an authority on intelligence, but when I'm arguing about literary conventions with a layman then I will certainly flaunt my education in the subject.
Nice try though.

lol all the losers posting lyrics from songs from the 90's and after. That's just so weak if you come with a gothic rock song text for an assignment like this. Dive into some (poetic) books from that era, I'm sure it's fairly easy to find a poem.
Really, coming up with lyrics of a modern song is just really cheap IMO.

Oh that's true, but I feel that with modern music personal taste and popularity of the song/band/artist influence the choice of a piece of text far too much.

I think the assignment is just to find a modern song with romantic lyrics. Whether you like that song or not is really beside the point. It's style identification, not much more than that.
