You need to in the later songs that get fast. Like Beast and the Harlot.

Was gonna buy it today but everywhere is sold out. Something tells me they thought this would sell as well as the PS2 version and never saw how fucking in demand it would be

You can get it virtually anywhere here. I think they knew how well it would sell.
It is fairly typical for you to think that your personal experience should reflect on the world as a whole though.

I only use alternate picking when the notes are literally back to back (fast parts of misirlou). Other than that I just twitch the shit out of my wrist. Most people seem to find alternate picking easier though.

which songs do you think they covered the worst?
i was disappointed with killing in the name and beast in the harlot. totally butchered the vocals on those two.
as far as favorites...hangar 18, yyz, and the trooper were probably the most fun for me

Free Bird, Dead, and Strutter are so far my faves. I'll have to buy the game to get more on hands with it though

well that they had to change the lyrics for Killing is obvious, although their solution works out fine.
heartshaped box' lyrics are ( i think) intentionally nothing like Cobain's, if for nothing other than respect. In GH1, they covered Hendrix' Spanish Castle Magic to a T, and the Hendrix Foundation told them to ditch the lyrics because it sounded too much like Jimi

You and MKJ are far to picky. I think almost all the songs in the game are good covers and I don't even notice the vocals because I'm paying too much attention to the guitar tracks. I actually turn the band and crowd level down a notch so that the guitars really ring out.
Now, if you want to hear a REALLY fucked up song play Laid to Rest. I can't find a sample of the song online but check out
http://www.purevolume.com/lambofgod and play The Faded Line (its from the same album and has the same sound).

whos being picky? im just pointing out why they changed the lyrics. im not saying its bad. better yet, I prefer some covers over the originals because of sound quality and the superiour mixing

I don't think that's a case of being too picky... you can't deny that vocals on Killing in the Name were TERRIBLY done. One of the first things I did was customize the song to put the original track back in. It's much more fun. :icon14:
