1) Managed a swimming pool/worked as a head lifegaurd
2) Swimming instructor
3) Subway sandwhich artist (for 2 days - I don't like customer service)
4) Occasional bouncer/doorman years ago
5) Personal trainer
6) Writer/Editor for textbook materials
7) Taught university and high school
8) Photographer (now that I'm getting paid and booking weddings I'd call it a job of sorts)
9) Research assistant in a lab

During summers in high school I did some construction work, or rather demolishing work, taking down the interior of apartements to the carcass.

When I went to study for my BSc, I started working as an accountant.. still work at the same place pretty much (currently doing my MSc), except I do auditing as well as accounting. I also tried working as an analyst at an investment bank, but it didn't pay as well and my specific job assignments were boring as fuck so I didn't stay on.

3. retail @ shit clothing stores for a few months.

4. photo tech @ shitty chain while in photog school
5. photo tech @ various pro labs throughout school
6. photographer & assistant for most of my adult life - still do it, local only
6. bike messenger on and off for 6+ years in 3 cities on east and west coast --best job ever for early 20's, not so much when you are about to turn 29 and uninsured :\.
7. valet (lol) then mgr @ swank hotel in boston & phila for like 6 months
---moved to philly
8. land use management assistant / landscaper for non-profit in own hood for a couple years
9. freelance lighting and stage design / event coordinator / carpenter
10. bartender / manager / professional drinker
11. then IT...bullshit desk-side starting at like 2AM til 9AM for Siemens. gotta start somewhere..
12. server/network/system admin/software specialist/technology curriculum instructor/underpaid monkey for school district in philly.
13. full-time student/husband/father --bread and butter right there

loving the IT work. wish i had taken it seriously a few years ago.

edit: forgot to add ringer for local baseball / softball leagues. getting old is gonna suck!

A little, I do currently have a job and it pays the bills so I'm not too nervous, however I'm on a contract which I know for sure will be renewed but what I really want is to be a full fledged employee with all the perks and if it weren't for a hiring freeze for all of Xerox I'd probably be in by now. This job however pays significantly better and has all the perks and a much nicer office, one you would usualy see in a movie, plus they cover all the costs of education and certifications in the IT field. I'll almost be making double what I make here and that's something my family could use right now since I'm the sole bread winner. This being the 3rd interview though I'm fairly confident they've already decided who was getting the job and who wasn't and wouldn't be calling me if they weren't interested. Plus the guy is a friend of mines manager and I had him put in a good word for me.

Guess all that club buisness at least left me with a lot of contacts

1. 8 week stint as a warehouse monkey at 16.
2. Year as a dev during uni (paid industrial placement)
3. PC Repair stuff at a shop, while saving to go to Australia, that was about a year
4. More warehouse stuff for a couple of months while waiting for a graduate job to start.
5. Dev at a defence company at present. It's fine

So......... apparently there exists such a thing as a 4th interview! Man... it's like the never ending interview I'm really surprised. So I passed interview #3 and now I got another one with their vice president... you'd think I was applying for a CEO job or something.
