That would be awesome to show up in the game somewhere, even if only the Q3Wers got the references.

I asked the Lead Game Designer and he told me that it's pretty much impossible at this point to add these types of easter eggs due to our army of lawyers advising against it.

Obviously...they discussed this before I joined the project. :)

However...I have an idea for a not-so-obvious nod to Q3W. I'll let you fags know if it stays in the final game.

I'm sure it's not hard to turn one of the characters equipped with a shotgun into a fat triple chinned redneck with terrible aim.

True story. I have a few friends wetting themselves over this game. They say its the only reason to buy a PS4 at this point, even though its not out and I'm sure there'll be other good games....

If you can get a nod in to q3w even I'll blow you.

The gaming press is once again showing that it knows nearly nothing about what it covers:

Watch Dogs loses its lead game designer to EA
Hopefully this is a case of EA making Keen an offer he can't refuse rather than an indication of any potential problems with Watch Dogs, as I'm really looking forward to seeing how that game turns out.
For the record, the person in question was only on the project for a month or two and had just transitioned to our project from FarCry 3 before heading to EA. He actually sat behind me and I barely noticed him, that's how short his stint here was.

In short: there will be ZERO impact on the game with this person's leaving. I honestly don't even know what the guy contributed or why the reporters thought this person was crucial...probably most likely due to the "Lead Game Designer" title in front of his name. But since Ubi has about 902873987394782 Lead Game Designers in this building alone, they don't realize he's just another cog along with the rest of us grunts. A phone call could have cleared this up.

The rabid media will look for any news on this game, sometimes to both the media's and our project's detriment....as now there's probably a shit-ton of upset 14 year-olds who think Watch_Dogs will now suck or sumthin.

you're losing credibility in your rants about consumerism everytime you spell it 'Watch_Dogs' (which is most likely how your local marketeer ordered all personnel to spell it.. and for the love of god don't let anybody abbreviate it!).
jus sayin.

Nah that's just me making sure my spelling doesn't suck. And my rants about consumerism are about obvious cash grabs from apathetic consumers. I doubt you'll see me complain about a fresh idea that hasn't been raped by the cynical business types.

This game is looking more and more badass. And it also looks like it'll be the first game I'll play on the new Xbox. I'm jealous GFY has the opportunity to work on this...

lol so the game will only score an 8.5/10....according to IGN.

Ex-IGN Employee Leaks List of Review Scores for Games that Aren’t Even Close to Release
A disgruntled ex-IGN employee has leaked a list of review scores for games with release dates that are extremely far off like Grand Theft Auto V, Watch Dogs and The Last of Us.

The ex-employee alleges that IGN has been setting review scores far in advance for years stating, “IGN gets paid by game publishers to modify the score. The only reason IGN is worth so much money to the eyes of investors is because they disappointingly have such a large influence on game sales. There’s no proper value for that so people have wildly different estimates from less than 100 million to 600 million. I wonder what sort of justification IGN uses to value their company. I wonder if companies even care and instead just look at the numbers.”

The following is the list of game scores leaked:

Grand Theft Auto V: 10/10
Metal Gear Solid V: 10/10
The Last of Us: 10/10
BioShock Infinite: 9/10
Assassin’s Creed IV: 8.5/10
Watch Dogs: 8.5/10
Beyond: Two Souls: 9/10
Lost Planet 3: 8/10
The Wonderful 101: 6/10
Pikmin 3: 8.5/10

“Unfortunately, a typical reader of IGN only cares for the number at the end of the review,” the employee laments, “They only write the review because it’s necessary. If they could, they would rather just put up a score number instead of a review and call it a day. This is how stupid video game culture is. This is how stupid IGN thinks you are. And sadly, no one thinks twice.”

“I don’t think leaking this list is going to change anything,” he concludes, “In fact, I think more companies are going to participate in this now that they know. And they’ll get away with it too because most people probably only skipped to the leaked score list and won’t give any real thought as to why they have been leaked.”
The gaming press is so FUBAR that I can't even tell if anything I read from that pack of idiots is true anymore. It's like trying to figure out if what they're saying on Fox News is completely fabricated or simply twisted to match their narrative...because it's always one of the two. Either way they're lying to you.

And just for kicks I'm going to monitor the reviews of those games and see if their final scores match those listed above.

Unless of course it's all a joke.
