Everyone is correct lol.
The thing is, whenever I watched this since its airing I usually skip the 'filler' episodes so I stick with the story. I think DS9 opened up the Star Trek universe more than most of the other series imo which is why I appreciated it, they also ditched the squeaky clean idea. It also had some of the best characters (still short of TNG) and plots with plenty of variation

. I don't think any other series had this much interaction between the Romulans / Klingons / Ferenghi whilst introducing new species and including a civil war.
Bajor in general were a bunch of idiots tho, I hated any of the storylines to do with the prophets (This kind of storytelling also completely ruined BSG). The sisko and son thing was a pain in the arse too and just cringeworthy at times. He was like a Wesley with too much screen time.
Its peak was during the Klingon empire being infiltrated and the dominion / Cardasians forming an alliance imo, Season 4/5 ?. I think after that they went prophet heavy. My last re-run I don't think I bothered with season 7.

Fucking DS9. Biggest pile of shite to be on the TV screen ever.

TNG > DS9 > Enterprise > Voyager / ToS
Some people may switch enterprise / ds9 but I propose that if you don't like ds9 then you don't like Star Trek

No sorry...you're completely wrong and I'll tell you why:
- DS9 turned Starfleet into the US Navy.
- DS9 turned Starfleet's Admiralty into a bunch of neo-con war-mongers.
- DS9 turned Star Trek's legacy of adventure and introspective of the human condition into a mindless splosion-fest devoid of anything that came close to the "soul" of Star Trek and more closely resembled a Tom Clancy novel.
DS9 was for the exact same idiots who love the new movies: dumb rednecks who get bored easily.
Fuck anyone who liked that show.

Then re-arrange the 1st part of my post to your liking
That's a pretty common opinion me thinks and don't act like there weren;t bastard star fleet admirals that wanted war in TNG

. I remember an episode where Riker had to go behind Picards back to help his old captain who's now an admiral, developing a cloaking device I think ?. Picard had to go undercover under orders and got stranded in Romulan space in an effort to kick off a war n all (was that the same episode ?)
I think that was a stoyrline in the novels too ?
Also, if you think that DS9 turned Star Trek into the US navy then you really need to take a closer look at the name of the ships in the prior runs

Oh ffs you're talking about individual episodes from other shows and I'm talking about a multi-season story arc. Yeah...they're exactly the same.
You can't seem to follow along to what's being discussed.

Keep up trev, I'm just providing examples. The only person that was truely neutral in TNG was Picard most of the time
btw, Starfleet wasn't war mongering in ds9. They actually followed suite and addressed modern day problems into the story arcs imo, why did you feel sorry for the murderous marquee blowing up the US navy ?. You didn't come away from the battle scenes thinking HARDCORE (most of the time), it was like innocent people died again. Like Sisko trying to intervene in the destruction of the founders. DS9 drew sympathy for all their enemies.
BSG done something similiar in the occupation of New Caprica and that was its best series.

No. I came away with,"These people have no clue what they're doing".
If you can't understand how DS9 effectively made Starfleet and everything it stood for become an extension of Section 31 then you really are clueless about what makes Star Trek Star Trek.

I just think that you failed to see the ethos of the whole franchise as I have explained, hence why you don't like it

Oh yea and don't bitch at DS9 cos the movies decided to revolve around section 31, they were barely mentioned and was a cool introduction. Starfleet have always been more concerned about their image.

DS9 was great. It was a nice change of pace compared to TNG. Remember they ran concurrently for a while. There wasn't any need for two shows with ships exploring space. So f all yall, every series has their shit episodes...

I thought Voyager was pretty neat too. Never got into Enterprise much. I think that wasn't StarTrek-ey enough.

Enterprise was gay. Voyager was stretching the suspension of disbelief a little too much.
TNG is where it's at. Time to watch the Borg box again, bitches.

No need for suspension of disbelief with Voyager. Jeri Ryans tits leave little to the imagination. Hubbahubba!

She's quite an attractive woman IMO, especially considering she's like 45 yo now.

I tried watching this. My verdict was that it's a super boring version of "OZ" for women. One woman disrespected another and I kept waiting for the scene where she gets shanked in a back room but instead they just worked out their differences by talking

I didn't finish this show but I did start watching OZ again because of it so that's good
I will admit the nude/sex scenes in Orange are much better....
