Literally Shaft watching the keynote IRL
If you cared about any of this at any point I'm sorry you were so easily trolled.Eraser wrote:The whole irony of the situation is that for years, Apple fanboys have been acting like they're the top dog kings and Android is for losers but now that Apple is releasing a new product which is significantly inferior to the top end Android products that have already been released months ago, suddenly caring about mobile phones (specs) is childish and immature.

I don't. That's why I bought a decidedly midrange phone with no apparent bells and whistles made by a company of 30 or so people in Amsterdam.shaft wrote:If you cared about any of this at any point I'm sorry you were so easily trolled.Eraser wrote:The whole irony of the situation is that for years, Apple fanboys have been acting like they're the top dog kings and Android is for losers but now that Apple is releasing a new product which is significantly inferior to the top end Android products that have already been released months ago, suddenly caring about mobile phones (specs) is childish and immature.
The ppl of the world have been laffing at this standard fanboi retort for years....it's basically word for wordshaft wrote:too bad hardware specs don't sell a phone, great software and usability does..
What's the last time you used an Android phone? Since 4.0, the Android experience is just as smooth as the iOS experience. One OS is no longer better than the other. Apple copies just as many ideas from Google as Google copies from Apple. The two OSes are more alike now than they ever were. Claiming otherwise reeks of fanboyism (or cluelessness).shaft wrote:too bad hardware specs don't sell a phone, great software and usability does..
I just hope you aren't too poor to get Gear VR and give us the lowdown on it.scared? wrote:Yeah uh...my coming note 4 domination will once again, prove how ur always wrong... These apple fanbois are disconnected from reality and way too easy......
A lot of fanboys also went on about the size and how the phone is crafted to the average sized hand: "This is an example of one of those design decisions [not making large phones] that you don’t usually notice until you see someone doing it wrong. It’s one of the things that makes Apple products Apple products." http://dcurt.is/3-point-5-inchesscared? wrote:Remember when apple and company spokesman shaft thought large screens on phones were a joke?...
"A recent report from Adobe shows use of 4-inch and smaller mobile devices dropping in the double digits while larger device use continues to skyrocket."

Hey, I'm sure once you root your phone in order to get an update that was blocked by your carrier or manufacturer its a great OS.Eraser wrote:What's the last time you used an Android phone? I think the s2 was around when iPhone 4 was released, so does that support the most recent Android ?Eraser wrote:Yeah, you're right, it's great that you can just go and install iOS 8 on your iPhone 4. Oh... wait.
I'm not saying it does.losCHUNK wrote:I think the s2 was around when iPhone 4 was released, so does that support the most recent Android ?Eraser wrote:Yeah, you're right, it's great that you can just go and install iOS 8 on your iPhone 4. Oh... wait.
I'll admit, carriers and phone makers have too much say in the Android ecosystem concerning updates. It's a situation that's gradually improving though. The problem is pretty much gone if you've got a Nexus device.shaft wrote:Yeah because I was talking about outdated hardware...

Also, it's irrelevant in this context. There are almost no pre-ICS devices on use anymore and those that are are "outdated hardware". The Android UX has barely changed between 4.0 and 4.4, so when it comes to "great software" and "usability", pretty much all Android devices that matter are on par (if not, in certain areas, better) with iPhones
