I like the floor the most. I'm not a big fan of the wood wall covering and the fan definitely needs to be hardwired. It is a big improvement over what was there. But the room still looks dated due to the contrasting wall finishes.

That wall is an inch thick and hard as fuck.. The nail gun set at 150psi wasn't enough to drive the nails all the way thru trim... It's the lake house look... Grow up...

It kind of looks like the room was an addition and instead of using drywall to cover the new walls, they used wood paneling.

There's drywall on other two walls... Those walls are actually nice... And way more expensive than drywall. They are all over house... House was built in 1969...

That's why the room looks like an addition/dated. Two walls have drywall and the other two have wood paneling. Maybe you like that look. Who knows. To me, it doesn't have a congruent flow.

It's call accenting... Over ur head blockhead?...

Accenting typically happens on one wall or part of the wall. Hence the term "accent".

I like the bed cuz it's higher than the other... So now I got a better angle when banging the wife when standing on floor while she's on bed... That was really my only criteria when we were shopping for one...

So the only thing you actually did was take down some curtains and nail up some premade fluted casing kit with lazy man rosette corners because you're not skilled enough to do a miter cut?
Floor and bedroom set look nice but you didn't have anything to do with that. You still have the lame fan with the extension cord and i'm betting that 70's style sliding mirror door. step up your game chumpo.

Listen up chump... I can mitre... Wife wanted the rosettes, were getting a fan... As I already said... We like the mirrored sliding doors so they are staying...I also painted...U mad?...As far as the desk in the room...I want it away from the kids... Especially the teenagers... This is the only way...

I'd tear out that wood paneling, cut in some taller windows and finish the walls with drywall. Updating all of the electrical devices would also be a must.

But that's just me.

Yeah the non paneled walls are a weird contrast. They need something. Too me smooth walls and smooth ceiling needs some crown moulding between. Changing window size might fuck up the exterior atheistics.

The windows look like they may be the next thing to be updated anyway. The different wall finishes should most certainly be corrected.

It's obvious his house was some tiny ranch style house originally and then people just starting tacking on rooms and carports around it for the past 40 years, that's why nothing looks consistent. I betting this room wasn't even its own room to begin with, it was probably sectioned off from the main living room when the bedrooms downstairs weren't enough.
