Pandorum - Quite a smart flick. I tried watching it drunk the other night... Bored me to tears and fell asleep half way in. But watched again with a sober state of mind and quite enjoyed it, very Event Horizonish, so if you liked that you will like this.

Finally got around to seeing this. Not sure what rating to give it, but it was pretty interesting. Good acting. Christina Ricci is underrated.

Daybreakers
Bit of a letdown. Had higher hopes.
I saw the cast (Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill) and thought this had to be a winner.
There were some nice twists on the genre, where the norm *is* to be vampire, for instance, and society adapted to that, and being "human" is abnormal.
But a very simplistic script, that somehow left me inadvertly rooting for the vampires more than for the humans.
Still a good romp, some nice gore to be had, seen worse, don't regret watching it, etc.

Saw Avatar again. This time in IMAX. In my opinion, Real D 3D is much better. Dont get me wrong, Avatar is a great film in any format, but the Real D utilizes the 3D effect much more than IMAX.

I read that from other sources. I still haven't gone to see Avatar, probably should go soon but I would assume that they'll extend its theatre run once it walks away with a handful of oscars in a few weeks.
What difference did you notice in particular?

Kung Fu Panda 8/10
I thought it was fucking funny
The Book of Eli 6/10
The cool thing was it was very Fallouty, the bad thing was that the story was blatantly religious and managed to piss me off. One of those could-have-been-so-much-better deals.
Land of the Lost 7/10
Entertaining Will Farell flick, story makes no sense but isn't supposed to and there's several hilarious scenes - but at the same time it's nothing special. It entertains you for one and a half hours. Pluspoints for Farell playing a character that can only be discribed as 'your dad' allowing him to make wildly unsuitable comments like telling his romantic interest "you've grown into a beautiful woman" before kissing her, which had me in stitches.
Night at the Museum II 7/10
Sorry, Ben Stiller makes me laugh. I very much enjoy the long dialogues about completely irrelevant bullshit, funny stuff.

Yes not to bad for a scifi buff, still predicable and entertaining. 7.5/10
Anyone see the sequels, I'd be interested to hear 'bout them:D

Terminator Salvation - honestly, it wasn't bad until the ending. with about 5-10min left you kinda say to yourself "they wouldn't do that, would they?" and then they do and you say to yourself "well, that was pretty fucking lame." and then the movie ends.

Shutter Island - 8/10
Really good Scorsese, but not your typical Scorsese. Great ending and great acting all-around.

Temple Grandin - 8 / 10
Some damn good acting there. The movie was a little much at times but overall entertaining. Not something I find to be one of those movies anybody would watch more than once though.

I was planning to see this in the theater, but my brother saw it and gave me a plot synopsis, and I decided to wait for the rental. Funny that they don't remotely mention it in the trailers.
