My 3 year old laptop can cope with Overwatch on low settings. Wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

funny how, again, the things I was complaining about, which indicated that the game as poorly made, have since been addressed and fixed by Blizzard.

Didn't you derank to silver last season? That's pretty rough, I'd probably hate the game too if I sucked so much at it :)

I suck pretty bad at the game, but I'm not bitter about it. Much.

Although I'm not Silver bad. ;)

these regular events got me spoiled for the game. The base game seems too vanilla, so I wait till the next event, play that a couple of rounds depending on the gametype/available skins and then kinda forget about it.

For me it almost feels like the game's downfall? :(

Was thinking the same thing in the first week of Uprising, but the last week, Uprising itself started feeling very stale to me. It's the same thing every time.
Because of this I've been feeling thirsty for the "normal" game modes again.

So are most of the people on my Friends list. I think the only reason I'm halfway from Gold to Platinum is because I only play healers in Competitive. As soon as I have to hitscan, I suddenly develop MS. :(

So you can get the Officer D.Va skin now...
[lvlshot]https://i.gyazo.com/a3cbfe88bb2625238e696412e1908d89.jpg[/lvlshot]

...as well as the Oni genji skin...

...by playing Heroes of the Storm. What you need to do is play 5 games against other players or against AI while grouped up with a friend (choose quick play and just invite a stranger in your group and usually they'll accept, knowing what's up. You can remove friends afterwards).
Once you've done that, the Genji Oni skin and spray are unlocked in Overwatch. Then, after that, you need to complete a further 5 games against other players (also with a friend, but not against AI) to unlock the D.Va skin.
Next week, you'll need to complete another 5 games against players to receive some sprays and stuff for Overwatch, and in week 4, the final 5 games need to be played for 10 Overwatch loot boxes.

You don't actually need to win any of these games. Also note that the rewards will remain acquirable throughout the 4 weeks. So you could wait until week 4 to unlock all of this stuff by playing 20 matches in one go.

Ooh yeah not sure how that works on Xbox, as HotS is PC only. I assume you can connect Overwatch to a Blizzard account but you'd still have to play HotS on PC.

Jeff has said that eventually the skins will be unlockable without playing HotS, so they are just timed exclusive for now.

Fuck yea, I finally hit Platinum. I was at 23xx for the longest time, but I finally broke through ELO Hell. Gotta hand it to the Grand Master smurf in my last game, he asked me to pocket him as Mercy and then Genji'd all over the red team. :smirk:
