GJ on quitting.

Maybe now you'll avoid being killed from the smoking. Though I don't think you'll be so lucky with the eating. ;)

these are pretty unconvincing reasons. presumably the law says you can breed chihuahuas, but i doubt you've ever considered it as a career option. surely you have a better reason than "because the law says i can"

If I read this thread correctly, Gwamps has put a red dot sight on a rifle that's barreled in .308. The internet doesn't make a facepalm big enough for that.

I can't carry "all" of the time. There are simply places that civilians aren't allowed to bring firearms. Though it is humorous that people from other countries automatically think that you have to be afraid of something to carry a concealed firearm. But it's simply not the case. I'm no more worried about something bad happening to me than you are. In fact, I'm likely less worried. However, you guys are free to think what you like.
i guess i get what you are saying kinda

so you carry it around everywhere you can but where you are prohibited, but usually when you carry it , you feel you can be less worried about safety and feel a better sense of personal security.

here in canada everybody is prohibited, so its like the same safety feeling as when you all are prohibited.

what did you feel you needed a better feeling of security from initially?

and also , do you have a less worried or more worried feeling in a prohibited situation?
it is about time!

the .308 round is most commonly used for hunting and sniping. It's a very accurate round for long-distance shooting. Gwamps has basically made himself a sleeping bag-range sniper rifle. So, if he's planning on taking out any deer in his front yard, he's all set. It makes as much sense as putting a scope on a Derringer.

You put a lot of thought into how you could possibly needle me some more in this thread and I'm sure you're proud of your result. But I'm not quite sure (given your military background) how you so easily arrived at this opinion. Though you are correct about the "common" use of .308 ammo. Hunting could never be condidered it's only use. Secondly, you should know that firearms are a lot like cars, trucks, motorbikes, fishing poles, etc. with respect to what task they are built to perform. Not every mustang is a racecar and not every .308 is a long range sniper/hunting rifle. That alone should have been enough to steer you clear of such an assumption without asking/knowing any of the specifics about the rifle. The rifle I bought isn't a hunting rifle. Hell, it's not even considered a long range rifle. My rifle has a 16" barrel with a factory empty weight of 8.3 lbs and with the stock completely retracted it's only 34" long. It's was designed as a compact, light weight, eye sight distance assault rifle. So the EOTech sight system I put on it is perfect for what I bought the rifle for and what the rifle is designed for, a 100 to 200 yard target rifle.

BTW, I've never been hunting, nor do I plan to go.

I put about three seconds worth of thought into that summary of your idiotic little toy. So, what are you planning on "assaulting" with your over-priced joke of a gun? Haitian refugees?
So, it's not considered a "long-range rifle" (no shit, you can tell that by looking at it), yet you chose to get it in .308, a round that most everyone on the planet uses for hunting, given that it's famous for its long-range accuracy. Yeah, there's a dumbass in this thread, but it's not me. :olo:

You can buy and customize whatever the fuck you want, just don't be surprised when people call you on your shitty attempts to compensate for your screaming inner terror at the thought of having a brown man look at you funny.

Stop being such a fucking stereotype.

The seterotype is in your stupid fucking bald head. :olo:

You made a stupid statement about my rifle and now you're too big of a pussy to admit you were wrong. The hunting ammo excuse only goes so far. The gun wasn't designed for hunting and you overlooked that in your fevered race to post something negative. I chose the .308 over the .223 because it's a more accurate and more powerful round. Furthermore, I'm not going to "assault" anything but paper targets you skin headed racist. :olo:

What kind of accuracy difference are you going to see between a .308 and a .223 at 100 to 200 yards?

I didn't make an assumption about the rifle, tardboi, I made an accurate statement about the caliber. I know that thinking is rather difficult for you, but you might want to give it a go. Did I say that you had a hunting rifle? No.
So you feel you need heavy artillery to take down a paper target? What's next? A howitzer for squirrels?

Please, for the sake of all us non-retard Americans, shut up about your stupid guns.

None whatsoever. Most likely due to the fact that he probably won't hit the target anyways.

That would ultimately depend on the grain and the quality of ammo. But if you want something more specific, since I know you're really not interested, you can look it up.

You mentioned long distance shooting, sleeping bag range sniper rifle and deer hunting. So you assumed that since it was a long range round it was a long range gun and you made fun of my sight selection by calling it a sleeping bag range sniper rifle. Then you call me the tactical deer hunter. Would that mean it was hunting deer with my rifle?

I bought a .308 because that's what I wanted. Go beat up on someone who buys more car, house or computer than they need. It makes just as much since.

Quit being a pussy and own your stupidity.

The 5 star crash test rating and 23 MPG took the wind out of the unsafe, gas hog sail. Then it really sucked when we all found out that my wife's company expense the majority of the Hummer and pays for gas.

Yeah, I took a real good beating there. :olo:
