Well fuck me... just did the week 4 workout and holy christ it was much harder than i anticipated.

did all the burpees in 4:30 or so, then the overhead squats i couldn't f'ing concentrate at all and boy were they sloppy and ugly. then i went to put the bar down and it slipped out of my hand, landed on my shin. ouch.. I may try this one again because I at least wanted to get all the squats in but managed 21. they are exponentially harder when you're breathing heavy!

How in the hell did it do that all the way down the shin? I can't picture how that happened unless the bar was almost drug down your tibia.

I had it overhead, and went to put it down but didn't have the hook grip on and that shit rolled right out of my hands. Hit just below the knee and rolled alllll the way down. Doesn't help that the bar was not so great and didn't spin very much hence the big scrapes. Nothing on the right leg either. Funny thing was that I had to ask one of the gym managers to man the camera because there was no one else to it, so when I dropped it on the wood floor i was apologizing and saying AW FUCK at the same time haha
Still finished, of course!

It's a good thing i'm used to shin pain after so many years of soccer.

Damn right, Geoff. I absolutely love my job and if it wasn't my job, it would be my hobby. My partner is a solicitor, so I can't imagine her wanting to quit her job either, as she works in the music industry and loves every minute of it.

Seriously, life is fucking awesome. Geoff, I couldn't imagine having to quit my job to bring up some kids while my partner put food on the table.

In the event of that, I imagine I'd have to find some obscure backwater gaming forum and lie about my bench-press to a bunch of mostly non-lifters in order to feel better about my miserably boring existence.
