House of the flying daggers - 7/10

Starts off highly excellent, but near the end they ran out of budget or ideas and resort to landscape shots and close ups. Shame.

Mindhunters 5/10
Slightly above complete shit, due primarily to the originality of the idea.

Saw II: 7/10
Undead: 6/10
High Tension: 8.5/10

I was seriously surprised by High Tension. The movie is designed to be a series of intense moments and it does so quite well. Highly recommend it.

We were supposed to see Saw II, but somehow ended up seeing Pride and Prejudice, which was actually thoroughly entertaining, good acting, good sets and good costumes and a tried and tested story.

One of my lecturers worked on the costumes :o

The Thing - was half asleep when i watched it but looked like a quality flick. More subtle than modern sci-fi horrors.

Sin City - wow, wasn't expecting anything like that (never saw trailers or anything so didn't know what to expect) - that scene where marv kicks cop ass was great.

The Thing (John Carpenter) was excellent. today's "scary" flicks pale in comparison.

watched Prime with my g/f last night. 6/10. some funny bits, and i must say even though i didn't care for her looks in Kill Bill, Uma Thurman was pretty hot.

Watched that one with the gf and i admit, it's pretty good.
I'll give it a 7-10, mostly because of that one guy who looks like a toad. He was hilarious.

"9 songs" by Michael Winterbottom

8.5/10

Good music. Can't remember seeing stiffy, BJ, pussy, intercourse etc. so explicitly in a movie which is no pr0n movie. :paranoid:

yeah I always wanted to see some 30+ y/o hag play a schoolgirl.

The only good thing about this movie were the first couple minutes when Jet Li completely loses his mind everytime the leash comes off.

Ring 2 yank version
more of a mysterythriller than a horror.. i found the "Rings" minimovie that came with the dvd a lot more exciting and daring than the movie
