SAPPHIRE X800 GTO² to X850 XT Mod

looking for the BEST bang for your buck? check out the 800gto2 cards that use the r480 chip(850xt).
so far the mod rate(12pipes to 16 pipes) is 100% with a simple bios flash and is reversable.
if i didn't have an 800xtpe already i would jump on this.

should be hitting the stores soon in big volumes.
i think this is the card they are using to dump all their 850 cores on before the new sm3 parts come out next month.
they should go for 200-250 cnd.

i dunno there should be alot but will probably go quick. you might even see the big firesale on the 850 in the next few weeks.
they really do rock hard, i play bf2 1280 everything maxed, 4xaa, ultra smooth all the time.

Only PCI-E, I think. None are out yet, so it's hard to say for sure.

the way w1zzard talks about the card i just assumed it was readily available.
should be buyable in canada shortly though i would assume.

Apparently it's already unlocked to 16 pipes, just needs overclocking to XTPE speeds.

I would be skeptical O/C'ing that card to XT PE specs without a larger heatsink and fan on it.

Yeah, but you could throw an ATi Silencer on there. They have one for the X850 XT PE. That's another $30. So for $230, you could have a $460 card. Not bad...50% off.
