New facility which I think you guys will find useful

Hey all,
I've started up a Wiki to cover all aspects of Q3.

One area I think it could really help in is giving content creators somewhere to present their work, including work in progress. The wiki system gives just about anyone the power to create and maintain their own pages. Those pages can be kept static but are even better as fluid, changing over time to reflect things like beta released, new download mirrors and reviews.

I think it would be great if you would take a look, and perhaps set up a pages for your levels. I've set up an example page here showcasing one of my own levels:

Hope some of you will give it a try and let me know what you think!

Quick tips:
*To start a fresh page for one of your maps, just alter the address for my map above with the name of your map, and it will automatically create a new page with that name.
*Levelshots/Screenshots can be uploaded to the wiki using the 'Upload file' link on the left (you might have to log in to see this). Please give your images distinctive names (like foo3dm1_levelshot.jpg) or the image will probably get overwritten down the line with someone elses poorly named image :)
*Anyone can edit a page, and if anyone wants to try their hand at writing a review, it would fit nicely onto the 'discussion' page which accompanies each article.

Almost forgot. The 'Community Portal' on the wiki has some extra info that's handy:

All aspects of Q3? Have you taken a look around first for other Q3 wiki initiatives? I could be confused with Q3 Source Code wiki's, but i thought there were one or two 'normal' Q3 wiki's too...

Wow! Great work Foo. I'll have to check this out and add to some of the resources if I can.

There is the Q3Map2 Wiki, linked in my signature. That one didn't seem to be overly popular since there was a lack of community involvement.

Wiki's tend to be like that, although the authors of them understand how the system works, people who come at them from a 'casual' point view find them too 'complex' and intimidating. We've got the same problem with the Doom 3 Wiki, it's only really matained by a handful of guys that understand the system itself (rather than just the information).
